Get in Touch

Greene County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the office that keeps the record for an official answer.

Greene County Record Contacts

The sheriff is the first official contact for a fresh Greene County booking, current local custody question, or narrow booking-record request. The official page does not publish a separate records extension, office hours, booking fee, or records form. Call and ask to be routed to the records, warrants, or jail/booking custodian before sending a request.

Choose the Right Official Path

Different questions have different custodians. A clear request includes the person’s name, date of birth if known, approximate event date, agency, and the record type sought.

  • For a current Greene County Jail question or booking record, contact GCSO.
  • For a Justice Court appearance, lower-level criminal matter, traffic, DUI, or misdemeanor question, contact Justice Court.
  • For an indicted felony, later circuit record, or disposition, contact the Circuit Clerk or use Mississippi Electronic Courts.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the MDOC inmate search, not the county booking route.
  • For a federal or immigration custody question, use the appropriate BOP or ICE official locator.
  • For a custody-status alert, register through VINELink; it is not an immediate booking-photo search.

For a public-records request, ask the sheriff for the nonexempt booking or jail-docket record and a booking photograph if maintained and releasable. Ask for a written fee estimate and the legal basis for any withholding.
